King of Talk Boy Abunda Returns to GMA-7 Network
BOY ABUNDA – The Philippines’ King of Talk revealed that he called Kapuso news anchor Mike Enriquez over his return to GMA-7.
After several years of being under ABS-CBN network, King of Talk Boy Abunda recently signed a contract with GMA-7 marking his return to his first home network. It was the Channel 7 that discovered the television host.
Boy is one of the biggest names in the field of TV hosting in the Philippines. The veteran TV host who earned the title as the country’s King of Talk was the interviewer in many of the interviews that featured the actors, actresses, and singers who were involved in some of the biggest issues in show business.
Boy Abunda is vocal about his gratitude not only to GMA-7 but as well as ABS-CBN. Amid his decision to return to Channel 7, the King of Talk is vocal that it was ABS-CBN that taught him how to fly. Recently, the veteran TV host revealed that he called Kapuso news anchor Mike Enriquez over his decision to return to GMA-7.
Based on a report on Pep, Boy Abunda revealed that he called Mike Enriquez before the conference to tell him about his return to GMA-7. The conference was held at the penthouse of Astoria Plaza in Pasig City.
Boy did not go into the details of his conversation with Mike citing that it was a “private conversation” but shared that he informed him of his return to GMA-7 to which the news anchor expressed that he would have not forgiven him if the TV host did not call him.
According to Boy, Mike is a constant friend to him and he is considering his relationship with him. Based on the article, the news anchor is one of the people he hopes to interview as a Kapuso host.
As of this writing, GMA-7 has yet to release a statement on the programs that will be given to Boy. Reportedly, it is possibly on the third week of January 2023 when he will have a program.
