Debbie Garcia started out as a model. Later, she ventured into acting as one of the cast of Banana Split. She’s one of Willie Revillame’s dancers in the TV-5 variety show Willing-Willie way back in 2010. The game show host introduced her to Viva, the artist agency of which she’s now a part.

She is known for The Housemaid (2021), May-December-January (2022) and Girlfriend for Hire (2016). She’s been in a lot of teleseryes and drama anthologies in the past such as GMA 7’s Marimar and ABS-CBN’s Ang Probinsyano and Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).

On the other hand, Barbie Imperial whose real name is Barbara Concina Imperial started in showbiz when she joined the reality show, Pinoy Big Brother: 737. At the time, she was dubbed “The Doll along the Riles of Albay” probably due to her dollface. After her PBB stint, she made a breakthrough in showbiz when she starred in the series Araw Gabi along with JM de Guzman.

It was on October 28 when the two were involved in a verbal and physical altercation. Their altercation took place at Tipsy Pig Gastropub on Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

After the incident, Debbie went to the police station in Kamuning, Quezon City wherein she filed a blotter report. Presently, Barbie is facing three charges filed by the Vivamax star including slight physical injuries, grave oral defamation, and grave slander by deed.

In an interview with the entertainment website, Push, Debbie Garcia said that she is determined to push the charges she filed against Imperial.

“I guess, for me kasi bago siya e, siguro ‘yung kung paano ko siya na handle. I guess I’m just standing for myself kasi I think no one deserves to be treated with violence and naniniwala ako doon, And I am standing for myself not just for myself, but para sa lahat na ‘yun nga no one deserves to be treated with violence,” she said.

Because of the issue, she decided to undergo social media detox. According to the actress, it was the first time she got involved in a controversy.
