BULACAN HERO RESCUERS – The San Miguel Corporation (SMC) gave two million pesos each to the surviving families of the five heroic rescuers who perished on September 26 amid the devastation of Typhoon Karding.
It was just last month when Typhoon Karding devasted the country, particularly Luzon.

The five rescuers were in Sitio Galas, Barangay Camias in San Miguel when a flash flood happened.

Some social media photos show SMC president Ramon Ang personally extending assistance to the families of George Agustin, Narciso Calayag Jr., Troy Justin Agustin, Jerson Resurreccion, and Marby Bartolome.
“Despite the dangers, they fulfilled their duty to help and save others. They are heroes. We cannot bring them back, but we can help fulfill their dreams for their families, and that is to help provide their loved ones a better life,” Ang said in a statement.
