PESE is an eligibility requirement for the ranks of Police Colonel (PCOL), Police Brigadier General (PBGEN), Police Major General (PMGEN), Police Lieutenant General (PLTGEN), and Police General (PGEN).
NAPOLCOM announced the administration of the PESE exam for all qualified uniformed members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) with the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLTCOL) and up, with permanent status of appointment.
According to NAPOLCOM, the two-phased examination process consists of a written exam and a panel interview, and both phases contain analytical questions on police leadership and police values designed to select the best future leaders in the police service.
NAPOLCOM conducted the PESE exam on August 14, 2022 in Quezon City, Cebu City, and Davao City.
