Globe Telecom: “Offering eSIM on the New Globe Online Shop allows customers to easily adapt to this new technology”
GLOBE TELECOM — The Ayala-led telecommunications company recently announced that its eSIM (embedded SIM) is available on its digital platform.
To recall, the telco launched its eSIM last 2018. It was the first telco to bring to market the integrated SIM chip embedded in mobile devices.
The eSIM enabled seamless connections on mobile devices while advocating for a sustainable eco-conscious lifestyle. It also supported sustainable living as it transitions customers from using physical plastic SIM cards.
Last year, the telco launched the “ONENUMBER” technology, the first in the country, that allows customers to share the same number between their watches and mobile phones, particularly on Apple devices.

Those who will get an Apple Watch or an iPhone 14 with eSIM can subscribe to the telco’s GPlan and choose “eSIM” as the preferred SIM type. Customers will then receive the eSIM activation QR code through their registered email address once the application is approved.
Also, customers may go to the nearest Globe Store in order to avail of the latest Apple devices with eSIM and can pay through charge to bill, zero interest on installments up to 36 months through select credit cards, and GCash’s installment offer GGives.
Globe Postpaid and International Business Vice President Coco Domingo said that offering eSIM on its digital platform allows its customers to easily adapt to this new technology.
“Globe continues to be the forerunner of innovation in the country, driving adoption of digitalization,” Domingo said. “Offering eSIM on the New Globe Online Shop allows customers to easily adapt to this new technology.”
