MATTEO GUIDICELLI — The actor-host recently joined the training program of the Presidential Security Group (PSG).
Matteo is one of the trainees of Class 129 of the PSG’s Very Important Person Protection Course (VIPPC). The PSG said taht it’s the first in its VIPPC history that a celebrity reservist like Matteo will join this specialized training.
To recall, the actor completed the month-long Scout Ranger Orientation and Leadership Development Course in June 2019 at Camp Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan.

Philippine News Agency reported that the PSG formed 2 classes for its Very Important Person Training Program in order to step up its efforts in providing full protection to the President and the First Family.
The training program for Classes 129 and 130 started at the PSG Grandstand inside Malacaňang Park in Manila last August 25 with the VIPPC for personnel who will ensure the “360-degree protection” of the President and the First Family, as well as visiting heads of state or government.
PSG’s VIPPC covered different aspects of operations, such as close-in security, security task action group, marksmanship, and combat, physical fitness, and field training exercises.
According to the Presidential Security Group, PSG troopers underwent physical activities on the first day of the training program in order to initially test and gauge the overall strength and stamina of the trainees, which they will need for the days to come.
Based on the report, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos graced the PSG VIPPC Batch “Maharlika” Class 128 graduation last August 9. The First Lady enjoined the PSG personnel to guard their distinction as the “best and brightest” with respect and kindness.
Previously, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said that the PSG’s task goes beyond its stated mission of protecting the First Family and foreign dignitaries.
