Kuh Ledesma will release her non-crypto music NFT on October 2
KUH LEDESMA — The OPM veteran will release her non-crypto music NFT (non-fungible token), which will be available at AnimalAid.io on October 2.
According to ABS-CBN News, Ledesma will release her single “Precious” as an NFT 25 years after it was released. Her NFT will be available on AnimalAid.io, with the PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society) as the beneficiary of sales proceeds.
Coinciding with the World Animal Day Celebration in SM Mall of Asia Arena, Ledesma’s NFT will be available on October 2. No cryptocurrency is involved in the said collectible NFT so her fans around the world can own her NFT collection.
To recall, Nadine Lustre released her single “Wait for Me” as a music NFT on the Enter.Audio platform last November 2021. Kris Lawrence also released his single “Future Girl” as a music NFT on SongRise in January this year.

Based on the report, “Precious” is the title track of her debut US album, which was released last 1997 and even reached the top 20 in the US Billboard Jazz charts. The said album will be available on different digital platforms this October.
It was last July when she announced on her social media account that she officially release a 10-track album “K: Para sa Bayan Kong Mahal” which includes OPM and kundiman songs. The said album was alreadt available on Spotify and other digital music platforms.
Kuh Ledesma is the original singer of George Canseco’s “Ako Ay Pilipino”, a patriotic song released during and associated with the regime of late President Ferdinand Marcos. However, she openly supported then-Vice President Leni Robredo and then-Senator Kiko Pangilinan in the May 9 polls.
