Kris Lawrence officially released his first audio NFT “Future Girl”.
KRIS LAWRENCE — The RnB singer started to venture into crypto space as he recently released his first audio NFT (non-fungible token) “Future Girl”.
In a virtual press conference, Kris shared that the people behind SongRise reached out to him.
“One of my friends, Andre Alexander, he was nominated for a Grammy Award. The guy who introduced me to Andre Alexander was Andre Fortieth. Both of these Americans will do a platform, SongRise,” Kris shared. “They don’t want to start with mainstream artists in the US. It’s too big for them. They want to branch out internationally to other artists.”
The RnB singer had the privilege of being the inaugural artist, the only Filipino, that SongRise will launch on the NFT platform.
His first song that went into the process of minting or authentication for the NFT space was “Future Girl,” penned by Andrew Real and Kuya Productions from Canada. Kris’ first audio NFT was officially released on Friday, January 28.
Kris was amazed at how NFT releases can be very limitless. According to him, he wanted to give NFT a shot by going all in and seeing how far can he take this.
The RnB singer was slated to stage a couple of shows in the United States in February and March. He said that those who bought his NFT can get a 20% discount on tickets to his concerts and can even get 50% off from all KL (Kris Lawrence) merchandise.
Other local celebrities who have released their non-fungible tokens to date were Heart Evangelista, Nadine Lustre, and even Senator Manny Pacquiao. Meanwhile, Catriona Gray and Pia Wurtzbach were among the iconic beauty queens featured on the Miss Universe NFT.

As far as his personal life was concerned, Kris unabashedly admitted that he was getting old and a partner in life needed to be seriously considered.
He’s happy with his co-parenting duties with Katrina Halili, the mother of his firstborn Katie. His second child was Lyric, with a non-showbiz girl, but had since separated from her.
According to him, his lifestyle has changed a lot over the past four years and he noticed that he got bored as he got older.
“So whoever will become my ‘Future Girl,’ also needs to adjust to my diet,” Kris said. “Kung sino man ‘yun, sana mahanap ko soon. Matanda na tayo. It will be nice to find someone who can take care of me, cook for me. It will be nice to finally settle down.”
