Kris Bernal: “When I got married, siyempre nag-transition na ako from being single to married.”
KRIS BERNAL — The actress and content creator recently spoke about the lessons she learned after a year of being married to her husband, Perry Choi.
To recall, it was last September 25, 2021 when Kris married Perry at St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish in Makati City.
To mark their 1st wedding anniversary, Kris posted a series of photos with her partner where they can be seen having a simple date. She shared that she and Perry are already contented to be with each other in their first year as husband and wife.
Aside from this, Kris released her latest vlog on her YouTube channel wherein she and Perry answered questions related to “relationship or marriage”.
The actress shared what she learned about being a housewife in their first wedding anniversary vlog. According to her, she realized how dependent she had become on her mother and she noticed some things she can’t do now that she’s married.
“When I got married, siyempre nag-transition na ako from being single to married. Na-realize ko na ang dami kong hindi kayang gawin,” she said. “Nahiya ako for Perry kasi hindi ko kayang mabuhay on my own kasi nga I was so dependent to my mom.“

Kris also shared that she never experienced living alone and never experienced living with a partner. She then clarified that she’s already learning with the help of her husband.
Another thing that she learned after a year of being married is to buy things that they only need and things that have value to her. When it comes to decision making, the actress shared the importance of communication and decision making for her and her husband.
“It’s not just about me, talagang kayong dalawa na,” she said.
At the end of their first wedding anniversary vlog, Kris mentioned how grateful she is to have her husband in her life.
She said that she knows she married the right person, adding that marrying and choosing Perry was one of the best decisions of her life and she keeps on thanking God that she has him in her life.
