Here’s the opinion of Bong Revilla on the case of Vhong Navarro
BONG ON VHONG – Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. shared his thoughts about the case of actor-TV host Vhong Navarro.
Navarro surrendered to NBI on September 19, 2022, in accordance with the Warrant of Arrest issued against him.
Vhong Navarro coordinated with the NBI through his legal counsel, expressing his intention to voluntarily surrender in relation to the Warrant of Arrest issued by the Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) Branch 116, Taguig City, on September 15, 2022, for Acts of Lasciviousness. Bail was set at Php 36,000.00 in the aforementioned case.
The actor appeared before the NBI with his counsel at Vtech Tower, G. Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, to voluntarily submit himself to the custody of the NBI. He was then subjected to the Bureau’s standard operating procedure.
But in the afternoon of the same day, the Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in Taguig City issued another Warrant of Arrest for R*pe with no bail recommended.
The actor-TV host is currently being detained at the NBI-Security and Management Section (NBI-SMS).
A lot has given their reaction to the revival of Vhong Navarro’s case.
In the media event for his upcoming birthday, Senator Bong Revilla shared his thoughts about the case of the actor-host.
“Kung talagang ginawa niya ‘yun, makikita naman ng korte ‘yan, pananagutan niya ‘yun. Kung hindi naman niya ginawa, that is so unfair for him na magdusa siya sa kulungan nang wala siyang kasalanan,” he said.
According to the senator, the trial of the case should be expedited. He added that when he was detained at Camp Crame, he has heard about the issue.
The actor-senator was formerly detained for plunder charges.
“Mabigat magbatuhan ng putik. Hindi natin alam kung ano talaga totoo diyan. Kaya ang masasabi ko lang, kung talagang walang kasalanan, dapat matapos na ‘yan. Kawawa naman ‘yung tao magsa-suffer nang walang kasalanan. Pero kung talagang nagkasala siya diyan dapat harapin niya ‘yun,” he said.
