26k for seafood in Bohol?
PANGLAO, BOHOL – A netizen took to social wherein she aired her frustration after her friend was charged P26,000 for seafood at a shore resto in the Virgin Islands.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, tourism was generally affected.
Many establishments and businesses shut down due to bankruptcy.
Now that the country is closely returning to normalcy, the tourism industry is slowly recovering.
Resorts, parks, and other leisure grounds are almost open.
Of course, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines is an island resort.
Island resorts are exclusive resorts within an island. They are packed with complete amenities from lodging to food to leisure.
Among the famous island resorts in the country is the Virgin Islands in Panglao, Bohol.
However, a netizen named Vilma Uy couldn’t help but express her disappointment after her friend was charged 26,000 pesos for the seafood they consumed at a shore resto in the said island resort.
According to her, her friend tried to ask for a discount but they were not given any. In the end, they were forced to pay the amount.
They paid P19,000 in cash and settled the remaining balance thru Gcash.
Among the items, they paid for is “kilawin fish” which cost as much as 3,000 pesos, and 20 pieces of banana that cost P900.
Her post has gone viral, garnering mixed reactions from the netizens.

Meanwhile, Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado has issued a statement regarding the matter.
According to him, the provincial government will investigate the incident as it generally affected their local tourism.
