Stabbed using a spoon?
STABBING INCIDENT – A 30-year-old man suffered a wound in the stomach after allegedly being stabbed by his grandfather in Brgy. Centro 8, Claveria town, Cagayan Thursday night, using a spoon.
A stabbing is defined as close-range penetration or rough contact with a sharp or pointed object.
Although the word “stab” connotes intentional activity, such as that of a killer or assassin, it is also possible to accidentally stab oneself or another.
In contrast to slashing or cutting, stabbing typically involves the use of an item that is moved perpendicular to and straight into the victim’s body rather than across it.
Today’s gangs and jails frequently carry out stabbings because knives are inexpensive, simple to obtain (or make), concealable, and quite effective. There were around 8 million stabbings in 2013.
Meanwhile, a stabbing incident took place in Cagayan town just recently.
In the investigation of the Claveria Police Station, the drunk 67-year-old grandfather was about to go to sleep when he heard his grandson’s videoke session with friends, so he decided to go and bond.
Allegedly, the grandfather was embarrassed because the videoke was turned off before he could even start singing as his grandson and his companions were about to finish drinking.
In anger, the grandfather reportedly shook the gate so his grandson approached him to talk to him.
While talking, he allegedly stabbed his grandson with an improvised knife, a spoon.
The suspect has been charged with frustrated homicide.
