Kiefer Ravena: “We both agreed to move on peacefully and we respect each other’s decisions.”
KIEFER RAVENA — The Gilas Pilipinas player recently took to social media to open up about his separation with his former girlfriend, Alyssa Valdez.
On Friday, he said in a statement posted on his Instagram Stories and now-private Twitter account that “It’s time to put a halt” to the past few days which he described it as “dirty and ugly”.
He confirmed that Alyssa released a statement last May regarding their separation last January.
According to him, he and his ex-girlfriend both agreed to move on peacefully and respect each other’s decisions.
However, he said that other people have been dragged into the issue and “their reputations [were] stained” due to “unfounded assumptions and malicious accusations”.
“Rumors that I am dating anyone right now are completely false and hurtful, especially to those who have been unwittingly dragged into this issue,” the basketball star said in a statement.
While he admitted that he made mistakes in the past, Kiefer said that he has learned from his mistakes and “these still do not give anybody the right to bash others”. Kiefer went on to urge the public to “be kind to one another”.
To recall, Alyssa’s talent agency announced last May that the decision about their separation “does not involve any other party“.
GMA News Online reported that Kiefer recently played for the national team in the FIBA Asia Cup, while Alyssa is currently playing for her squad in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
