Herlene Budol received the warmest welcome at her homecoming ceremony
HERLENE BUDOL — The comedienne turned beauty queen received the warmest welcome at her homecoming ceremony in Angono, Rizal, as featured in her manager’s vlog.
Known as “Hipon Girl”, Herlene was named 1st runner-up and won several special awards at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant held last July 31.
As seen in a vlog uploaded on Wilbert Tolentino’s YouTube channel, Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon and Vice Mayor Gerardo Calderon gave some words of appreciation to “Hipon Girl”.
Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon even called Herlene Angono’s pride.
For Vice Mayor Gerardo Calderon, the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st runner-up is an exemplary model for youth. She went on to tell the public that no one should give up in life.
Herlene, for her part, thanked her kababayan, her manager, her family, and her friends for all the love and support. According to her, she dedicated her crown to her hometown and to the rest of the country.
“Wala po akong kahit anong pinagsisihan dahil itong crown na ‘to, 1st Runner-Up man po ako, ang laking bagay po nito sa akin at para sa ating lahat. Kaya maraming maraming salamat po, bayan ng Angono,” Herlene said.

Meanwhile, her manager revealed in his vlog that he’s looking for international pageants for her to compete in.
According to her manager, she will still speak Tagalog during her future competitions and will also retain her showbiz and endorsement commitments as well.
Herlene previously revealed that she joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant because Wilbert said that he will give her a new house and lot if she agrees to do so.
