Yap is considered one of the most popular directors in the country today.

He is behind the hit movies and independent films such as Jowable, Tililing and to name a few.

He’s also one of the staunch supporters of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio.

His latest project is the controversial film, Maid in Malacañang, a movie about the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in the Palace.

The movie stars Cesar Montano as former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., Diego Loyzaga as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Cristine Reyes as Senator Imee Marcos, and Ruffa Gutierrez as Imelda Romualdez Marcos and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos.

While those who portrayed the role as house helpers of the Marcos family are Elizabeth Oropesa as Yaya Lucy, Beverly Salviejo as Yaya Biday, and Karla Estrada as Yaya Santa.

In a now-deleted post on Facebook, Katips director Vince Tañada announced that he was looking for a photographer for his birthday in exchange for “X-Deals”.

“Looking for a photographer who can do X Deals for my birthday party tonight. PM me!” he wrote.

An “X-deal” is a transaction between two parties to swap goods or services without the involvement of cash.

However, it is not yet known what the photographer will gain after agreeing to give his/her services to the director for free. Eventually, he deleted his post.

Apparently, many were not amused by the announcement of the director, and among those is director Darryl Yap.
