  • Vinegar – Add one (1) cup of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to a quart of water and a cup of baby shampoo or liquid dish soap. Use the mixture in bathing your dog once or twice a month.
  • Lemon Wash Detergent – Prepare four (4) slices of fresh lemon, a tablespoon of salt, and six (6) cups of water. Heat the water until it reaches the boiling point and add the fresh lemon and the salt. Boil it for two (2) minutes. Let it steep for at least 24 hours. Shampoo and wash your dog the next day and apply the mixture. Based on the article, you may apply it on a daily basis to keep the ticks and fleas away.
  • Essential Oils Spray – You can come up with essential oils spray to keep the ticks and fleas away. You may use a diluted lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, rosemary, cedar, citronella, or eucalyptus oil spray.
