Ledesma is one of the five directors who signed a contract under the Reality MM Studios of Dondon Monteverde and Erik Matti.

The two saw potential in the 39-year-old Psychology graduate as a good scriptwriter and director.

Siege also has a background in writing scripts for digital ads and television series like Starla and The Goodbye Girl of the Kapamilya Network.

She worked in a call center company for nine years that’s why it’s a surprise she ends up working in the movie industry.

“Nag-Clinical Psychology pa ako, at ang unang libro na hiniram ko sa library, History of Experimental Cinema in the Philippines,” she said in an interview with PEP.ph.

“Sabi ko, parang mali. Psychology [graduate] ako pero bakit ito pa rin? Parang binabalik-balikan ko,” she added.

Then, she enrolled in a filmmaking course at the Asia Pacific Film Institute.

During that time, she continued to submit scripts for Cinemalaya, and Cinema One until her movie Shift was accepted.

There’s a high possibility that her dream movie project will materialize sooner because of the support she’s receiving from Reality MM Studios.

Siege also shared her thoughts about movies without a script.

One of the phenomenal movies that became successful without any script is the film Moral, the 1982 coming-of-age movie of National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, Marilou Diaz-Abaya.

The critically acclaimed movie stars Lorna Tolentino, Gina Alajar, Anna Marin, and Sandy Andolong.

It is one of the official entries in the 8th Metro Manila Film Festival.

Although the movie did not have any script, it won the best screenplay award during the Gabi ng Parangal of the filmfest last December 1982.
