Coleen Garcia: “Buong-buo ang suporta [ni Billy] sa akin.”
COLEEN GARCIA — The actress has the full support of her husband Billy Crawford for her upcoming movie that is competing at this year’s Cinemalaya Film Festival.
At the media conference for Cinemalaya 2022 last July 6, the actress joked that her husband was driving around the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), waiting for her to finish.
According to her, her husband wanted to be present throughout the filmmaking process — from the moment she received the script for the movie until the production shoots.
“Buong-buo ang suporta [ni Billy] sa akin,” she said. “Binasa niya ‘yung script kasi gusto niya malaman anong klaseng project ‘yung gagawin ko… kasama sila [sa shoots] kasi ayaw niya mag-alala ako kay Amari.“

Having her child around even during shooting was a big deal for her as she considered herself and her husband hands-on parents.

As such, seeing her husband and their child in between scenes was a big deal for Coleen, noting that Billy himself still found time in his schedule to be at his wife’s shoots even though he’s very busy with many shows.
“Hindi ako sanay na iniiwan si Amari with other people,” she said.
The couple tied the knot in 2018, after four years of dating, and baby Amari was born through water birth in September 2020.
Last February, Coleen admitted that she brought baby Amari at the lock-in shooting of her comeback movie. Although the actress was a breastfeeding mother at that time, it wasn’t a problem for her because she took her to the hotel where she was staying.
