Duterte went malling in the city of Davao
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former president of the Republic of the Philippines went malling in Davao City.
Duterte steps down as the country’s chief executive last June 30, in time with the inauguration and oath-taking of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
After serving the country for six years, he is now back in his life as an ordinary citizen.
Earlier, he was spotted in front of his house.
Wearing an old t-shirt, pajama, and slippers, the former president can be seen along with Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte while looking at his grandson on board a motorcycle.
On Saturday, he went to Abreeza mall in Davao City.
But it seemed that the people are yet to get over his presence.
The crown flock and surrounded “Citizen Digong” while enjoying himself shopping. At one point, he went to a clothing store.
A netizen thought there was a celebrity roaming around at the time.
“Akala ko may artista dito sa Abreeza dahil parang may pinagkakaguluhan mga tao dito. Nag malling pala si PRRD. Kawawa nga kasi hindi makabili nang maayos kasi pinagkakaguluhan ng mga tao sa mall,” Che Palicte said in Cebuano language.
Some supporters of the former president believe that Duterte might no longer return to his normal life.
Fortunately, the Presidential Security Group (PSG) was around to secure him. Duterte is still being escorted by the members of PSG to give him security wherever he goes.
This is not the first time Duterte did as such.
In fact, right after he step down from his office, he immediately went to a mall.
Previously, former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo paid a surprise visit to Duterte’s residence.
