House of Angelika dela Cruz robbed

ANGELIKA DELA CRUZ – The house of the actress-politician in Malabon has been robbed.

Angelika is incumbent barangay captain of Barangay Longos in the said city.

According to the report of the Daily Tribune, the incident happened on Friday, July 8.

Based on the statement of the barangay tanod or a village watchman, the incident happened around 2:30 am at the house of Angelika in Sitio Pinagsabugan, Barangay Longos.

Fortunately, her sister Mika dela Cruz was still awake at the time. The suspect was identified as Steven Ramos from Navotas.

The burglar tried to rob the nearby room.

Mika went back to her room and called for the authorities. Eventually, the suspect was arrested.

Angelika herself confirmed the report.

Through Facebook, the actress-turned-politician extended her gratitude to the barangay tanods and the policemen who immediately responded and arrest the suspect.

She was also thankful that none of her family members were hurt in the apparent robbery.

Sa mga nagtatanong po totoo po yan .. nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga Tanod ng Barangay Longos at mga pulis sa agarang responde at nahuli po ang tao. Salamat din po sa Diyos at walang nangyaring masama sa Mommy ko at kay Mika,” she said.

Last month, Angelika received a death threat and four bullets.

Meanwhile, Angelika whose real name is Maria Lourdes Egger dela Cruz-Casareo is an actress-singer, who’s now a politician.

She started acting at the age of seven when she appeared in the 1988 film Nagbabagang Luha.

Since then, she has appeared in television shows and movies such as the primetime drama Mara Clara and Esperanza. She later left the ABS-CBN Network and transferred to GMA Network to do other primetime dramas.

She gained attention when she won the Best New Actress of the year award at the PMPC Star Awards for Movies for her very first movie Nights of Serafina.
