Will Toni Gonzaga return to ABS-CBN?
TONI GONZAGA – The veteran host is still welcome on ABS-CBN despite resigning after supporting President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Toni whose real name is Celestine Cruz Gonzaga-Soriano is a singer, host, actress, producer, vlogger and entrepreneur.
She is the former lead host of the long-running reality show, Pinoy Big Brother.
When she pledged support to President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., she decided to resign from her home network, ABS-CBN. She has been part of the said network for a couple of years.
She publicized her resignation thru social media.
This, was after she was deeply criticized for hosting the campaign rally of then-presidential candidate Marcos Jr. at the Philippine Arena last February 2022.
Toni Gonzaga was criticized for accepting the hosting job under the UniTeam even though she already knew that some of the party’s allies were behind the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
Then, Tonni decided to resign as host of Pinoy Big Brother. She recommended Bianca Gonzales-Intal to replace her.
Eventually, reports also surfaced that she has already secured a spot on the TV network of former Senator Manny Villar.
But according to the source of Bandera, “Nagkaroon na ng pag-uusap ang mga bosses ng ABS at si Toni na welcome siya anytime, pero siyempre as of now ay wala namang offer pa.”
The source also mentioned that ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Lopez Katigbak had a meeting with BBM recently and had talked about the actress-host.
Presently, Toni is busy with her YouTube channel, “Toni Gonzaga Studio.”
