JUSTIN BIEBER — The Canadian singer recently took to social media to share an update after revealing that he suffered from facial paralysis.
Justin took to Instagram to reveal that he is suffering from a virus that causes facial paralysis. He shared on Instagram a video explaining that he is suffering from “Ramsay Hunt syndrome”, which affects the nerves in his face.
The said video sees Justin unable to move the right side of his face — his nostril not flaring, his right eye not blinking, and a part of his mouth not able to smile.
“For those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously not capable of doing them. This is pretty serious. As you can see,” he said.
On his Instagram Stories, he shared that he’s been “getting progressively harder to eat” because of his condition.
According to Mayo Clinic, the Ramsay Hunt syndrome “occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears” and “can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear”.
Philippine Star reported that he canceled his concert shows in Toronto, Canada, and in Washington D.C., United States. Based on the report, it is only Justin’s North American “Justice” tour dates have been affected and will see readjustment so far.
There’s no official word yet if Justin’s concert show in the Philippines this October 2022 will be postponed.
