GERALD ANDERSON – Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto got the bride’s bouquet at a wedding attended with her boyfriend.
Recently, actor Joe Vargas officially tied the knot with his non-showbiz partner, Bianca Yanga. The wedding of the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and his partner gathered several celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry.
Celebrity couple Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto are among those who attended the wedding of Joe. Gerald and the groom are very close to each other even behind the camera.
In the Philippines, one of the most-observed traditions during a wedding is the throwing of a bouquet by the bride. It is believed that whoever gets the bouquet has the highest chance to become the next bride.
The single women who are present at the wedding will be standing a quite far distance from the bride. The bride will turn her back on them and throw the bouquet to their direction.
During the wedding of Joe and Bianca, instead of throwing the bouquet to where the young women are standing and eager to catch it, the bride went to them and gave the bouquet to Julia Barretto. A video of the said moment was posted on Facebook. Gerald Anderson could be seen smiling and being congratulated by the other male guests at the wedding.
Based on one of the comments on the post on the Facebook page managed by the supporters of Julia Barretto, the bride claimed that it was really Gerald Anderson who asked to give the bouquet to his girlfriend.
It was more than a year now since Gerald confirmed that he and Julia are together. They became closer to each other when they top-billed the movie Between Maybes. The relationship of the celebrity couple earned criticism and negative reaction but it managed to stand against what was thrown at them.
