Call Center Agent Who is a Stroke Survivor Diagnosed w/ Various Illness Earns Praises Online
A stroke survivor who has been diagnosed with various illnesses goes viral for working as a call center agent.
A Facebook user named Glenjoe Alda Malingin has shared his inspiring story of working as a call center agent although he is suffering from multiple diseases. The post garnered praise and admiration from the netizens.
Glenjoe Alda Malingin of Mandaue Cebu City has been diagnosed with SLE and suffered from a mild stroke last year. He also suffered from a heart attack twice and only 48 percent of his heart is functioning.
The doctors advised him to undergo Anjoplasty but refused to accept the medical procedure due to financial incapability. He is also taking maintenance medicines for his heart, brain, and kidney.
Malingin has also tested positive for Lupus. His mom is working as a tour guide while his dad was just a ‘helper’. He is the one who pays for their bills, food, and medicines.
The BPO employee said that he needs to work to provide for his family despite his health condition.

“Hi po my name is Glenjoe Alda Malingin from Mandaue Cebu City. I was diagnosed with SLE last year I also have mild Stroke same year po. After Odette happened in Cebu I was diagnose with my first attack Dec 24. A week after getting out from the hospital I had my 2nd Heart Attack, doctors wants me to have Anjoplasty however dahil sobrang mahal di ko talaga na kuha. Currently 48% nalang ang functioning sa heart ko. Taking meds po for maintenance sa heart brain and sa kidney ko po and also needs Oxygen every night or ung masakit dibdib ko po
I’m the youngest of my brother and nag kuha ako ng test to check if my Lupus po sila luckily ako lang ang meron nito.
Ung mom ko po is a Tour guide and my dad naman is a boyboy lang po. I’m paying for bills + food + medicine ko po sobrang hirap talaga pero wala ako magawa eh. Lagi ko sabihin ko sa mga customer ko talaga why problem a problem if its already a problem po.
Sometimes things happen however what happens you need to move forward. The government will not help you, Friends and Family will only remember you sometimes, not all. BILLS and MEDICINE are always there.
