Dingdong Dantes is doing these three things before choosing a candidate
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes shared the steps that he is doing in order to determine who among the candidates will get his vote.
Dingdong has been active in spreading awareness when it comes to political matters. This year, the actor-host, along with his wife Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, has not vocally endorsed any politician. It is because they are part of GMA’s election advocacy.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Dingdong Dantes stressed the importance of the upcoming May 9 elections. “Sa tingin ko, beyond what ‘yung current administration has done or has failed to do, ‘yung upcoming elections is really about recovery—socio-economic recovery, hindi lang ng bansa kundi ng buong mundo. But higit sa lahat, it’s about the future of our children,” the actor said.
He also said that this will be the time for Filipinos to choose a leader who they think will address the problems brought by the pandemic. The Kapuso star also shared the three steps that he is doing before making a final decision on who to vote – plan, discern and act – which involve “sourcing credible information, setting values and standards, and exercising the right to vote.”
Dingdong also said that win or lose, the voter should stand by his or her decision because this is a representation of their aspiration, values, and beliefs. “Matalo man o manalo, you also have to be responsible of your vote. Kung ‘yung taong binoto natin ay nanalo at gumawa nang mabuti then susuportahan natin,” the actor added.
He also said that once that elected official is not doing what is expected of him, the people who voted for him or her should call him or her out.
