Marietta Subong O’Brian also known as Pokwang, is a Filipina comedian, actress, television host, and singer.

She started in a reality show on ABS-CBN and subsequently appeared in dramas and sitcoms of the network.

She also received the Best Comedy Actress award from the Philippine Movie Press Club for her portrayal in the sitcom Aalog-Alog and the Best Female Comedian award from the People’s Choice Awards.

She became a host of the variety shows Wowowee, Pilipinas Win na Win and Happy Yipee Yehey.

On the other hand, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco started in showbiz when she became part of the reality show, Pinoy Big Brother where she became a big winner.

After her PBB stint, she ventured into acting and currently, she’s one of the hosts of the morning talk show, Magandang Buhay.

Recently, Pokwang took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she hit back at bashers calling her and Melai, “pangit.”

In a Twitter post, she wrote: “bashers: Ang pangit mo Pokwang! kayo ni Melai pangit nyo! Me: kailan namin sinabing maganda kami? Kailaannn????”

Pokwang stressed that this is “fake news” because they did not really mention in an interview that they are beautiful.

In the comment section, her friend K Brosas said that there were even bashers telling them, “laos.”

This is not the first time Pokwang was criticized on social media.
