Here’s the weather forecast in the observance of Holy Week 2022
HOLY WEEK 2022 – ABS-CBN resident meteorologist Ariel Rojas gave the possible weather outlook on the observance of Semana Santa.
These past few days, the country was affected by weather disturbance brought by Tropical Depression Agaton which was last spotted 65 km southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar and Typhoon Malakas, last observed 1,545 km east of Central Luzon.
Malakas entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday morning but eventually left PAR in the afternoon.
But according to ABS-CBN resident meteorologist Ariel Rojas, Metro Manila and a large part of Luzon will have fair weather on Maundy Thursday.
However, rainshower is possible in the northern Palawan, Mindoro, Bicol Region, and Visayas especially Panay. On the other hand, thunderstorm is possible in Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao.
On Good Friday, Black Saturday, and Easter Sunday, the weather will be hot all over the country, although thunderstorms are still possible in the afternoon in Bicol, Mimaropa, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region.
Rojas also gave advice to those who are going to visit some of the popular tourist destinations in the country.
“Sa mga pupunta ng Baguio, maaraw sa Huwebes at Biyernes pero maulan po sa Sabado at sa Linggo. Sa Tagaytay naman, maaraw bukas pero sa Biyernes hanggang Easter Sunday, asahan ang pag-ulan sa hapon,” he said.
For those who would like to visit El Nido, it will be sunny this Saturday and Sunday, according to Rojas. While the weather in Boracay from Thursday to Sunday will be fair.
