BTS member Kim Taehyung aka V spotted smoking at Grammy Awards 2022
V of BTS – The member of the South Korean supergroup was spotted smoking in an unidentified area at the Grammy Awards 2022 venue.
BTS, or in short for Bangtan Sonyeondan is a South Korean boy band that was formed in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.
The group consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
The all-male band was originally launched as a hip-hop group. Eventually, their musical style has evolved to a wide range of genres.
After debuting in 2013 with their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool, they released their first Korean-language studio album, Dark & Wild, and Japanese-language studio album, Wake Up, in 2014.
By 2017, BTS crossed into the global music market, leading the Korean Wave into the United States.
In 2020, BTS became the first all-South Korean act to reach number one on the Billboard Global 200 and US Billboard Hot 100 with their Grammy-nominated single “Dynamite”.
Earlier, the Kpop supergroup performed their hit single, Butter at the 64th Grammy Awards.
At one point, Kim Tae-hyung or popularly known as V was spotted smoking in an unidentified area at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Photos showing him apparently smoking went viral on social media, particularly on Twitter and Facebook.
This prompted BTS fans popularly known as Army to react at the same time defend him.
Some fans complained that the photos were taken without his consent and alleged to be an invasion of privacy.
BTS was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their Billboard No. 1 song “Butter.” However, the award was given to “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat Featuring SZA.
