A candid and adorable moment between an ABS-CBN reporter and a “taong grasa”
IZZY LEE – A reporter for ABS-CBN news went viral when she was approached and hugged by a “taong grasa” while preparing her live report.
A blooper refers to an error made during a live radio or TV broadcast or news report, usually in terms of misspoken words or technical errors.
News bloopers are also common among local newscasters.
Recently, Izzy Lee, the newest reporter of ABS-CBN News went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she posted a candid moment she had with a “taong grasa.”
In the photos she shared on the said social media platform, she can be seen being hugged by a homeless woman or taong grasa.
Her post was accompanied by the caption: “So this happened at work today. A free hug.”
At one point, the woman laid her face on the reporter’s shoulder.
Izzy earned the admiration of netizens because she did not show any sign of disgust.
Her photos earned mixed reactions and thousands of retweets.

“She trusted you and found comfort, they’re usually fearful and distrustful of strangers. They shun any social contact,” wrote @FoolforJ.
On the other hand, @BituinSaNorte said: “Bless you. It’s Jesus hugging you for He lives among the homeless and downtrodden.”
“You probably felt fear in that moment, but to the other person, it’s relief, probably happiness. It may not have lasted forever, but all it takes is a moment,” said @jomark_magbanua.
