Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos will run for president in the coming elections together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

Recently, their tandem dubbed as UniTeam held a campaign rally in General Trias City, Cavite.

Prior to that, Marcos supporter- Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said BBM will secure 800,000 votes from their vote-rich province.

But he clarified his pronouncement by saying, “Yabang lang yun.”

However, the governor believes it is possible to reach such a number of votes. “But I think we’ll get there [800,000 votes],” he said.

Meanwhile, Remulla claimed that at least 140,000 people attended the BBM-Sara rally in Cavite. He cited that 100,000 people flocked General Trias Sports Complex while 40,000 people failed to enter the venue.

Apparently, some netizens don’t believe in the claims of the governor of Cavite. Others even claimed the photos during the rally which were uploaded on social media were edited.

On the other hand, PNP Cavite said that the estimated number of people that joined the BBM-Sara rally is just around 80,000.
