Netizen criticizes Leni-Kiko tandem for using Church pulpit
LENI-KIKO TANDEM – A netizen could not help but criticize Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan for using a church pulpit.
Robredo is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with her runningmate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, they will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Earlier, some photos of the two surfaced on social media wherein Robredo and Pangilinan can be seen speaking at the pulpit of the Cathedral-Shrine and Parish of the Good Shepherd in Fairview, Quezon City.
In a Facebook post, Johnny Sniper Coquilla explained exactly what is the value of the church pulpit and why it should not be used for non-essential things outside of the catholic faith.
Here’s his Facebook post:
Coquilla shared his frustration because it seems that the church itself and the pulpit, which should be only for sharing the word of God, are being used in politics.
He also said that there is a law that separates the church and the government.
He then called the attention of the Catholic Bishops ’Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) and asked if they were crazy enough to just let the temple of God be used for politics.
Meanwhile, according to Robredo’s camp, the “Conversation and Prayer for VP Leni” was a private gathering attended by religious leaders in Metro Manila.
