Will Kris Aquino try “magpatawas” with albularyos?
KRIS AQUINO – The Queen of All Media was advised by some albularyos or witch doctors to try “magpatawas”.
This was revealed by the co-host of columnist Cristy Fermin in her program “Cristy Ferminute” last March 7.
According to Fermin, many people seem to be angry with Kris today because of her criticism of those who commented on her posts with “red heart emoji.”
Kris said that she wants her followers to use “pink” and “yellow” colors for their heart emoji.
She then told Kris to not mind such.
“Sa hitsura mong ‘yan ngayon, nasa utak mo pa rin ang politika?” she said.
Then, her co-host Rommel Chika said that there are albularyo vloggers who want to help Kris with her condition.
“At heto pala ‘Nay, nakalimutan ko pala sa iyo ikuwento, sa YouTube ay may mga manggagamot na ibina-vlog siya, ‘di ba sinabi mo dati na bakit hindi kaya ‘to magpatingin sa albularyo, manggagamot, kasi iba yung sakit niya, hindi makita,” he said.
One of the albularyo vloggers who gave advice to Kris was “Maestro Mo.”
It can be recalled that Kris has already said that she does not believe in witch doctors and is more confident in her doctors.
An albularyo is a “folk doctor” commonly found in the more rural areas of the Philippines who heals people using herbs and traditional practices such as hilot or massage.
Their services are considered either as a first or as a last resort for addressing illnesses. The albularyo’s patient claims that the practitioner has supernatural powers that modern medicine does not provide.
This belief makes them more trustworthy than modern medicine practitioners. Aside from practicing folk medicine, the albularyo is also alleged to practice black magic and curse people.
