Here’s the message of Kiko Pangilinan to candidates who skip debates
KIKO PANGILINAN – The vice presidential candidate said that candidates who skip debates cannot be trusted.
Pangilinan is gearing up for his candidacy as vice president.
He’s running for the said position alongside Vice President Leni Robredo.
They will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
During a speech in Oriental Mindoro, he aired his opinion about candidates who skip debates.
He even compared the candidates to suitors who are trying to win the hearts of the voters.
Apparently, Kiko did not mention any names.
However, Marcos Jr. has been criticized for his absence in two media-organized elections events.
First is in a one-on-one interview with Boy Abunda and the other is on the forum organized by SMNI, the media company of controversial religious leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
But despite his absence in presidential interviews and debate, BBM continues to lead in different preelection surveys alongside his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
“Kailangan ang taumbayan, ginagalang” he stressed.
Meanwhile, the candidates are busy campaigning ahead of the elections. They have been across the country conducting sorties and motorcade.
At least 10 candidates are rooting for the position as the country’s president while many are also rooting to secure a spot in the Magic 12 of senatorial elections.
