Earlier, reports surfaced that the two met in Malacañang Palace.

This was after a photo of them surfaced on social media. The said photo shows the President and Marcos Jr.-who currently leads the presidential surveys, inside Malacañang.

However, some claimed that the photo might be “edited.” Others claimed that it was another way to confuse the public as to who President Duterte really supports.

Meanwhile, Sen. Bong Go confirmed that BBM met with the president.

According to him, their meeting took place days before the PDP-Laban Cusi wing announced its endorsement for Marcos’ candidacy in the 2022 elections.

Go, a long-time aide of Duterte-turned-senator said that the president and the presidential aspirant had a productive meeting.

He added that Duterte also gave Marcos Jr. some advice during the meeting.

“Maganda naman po ang resulta ng meeting. Medyo matagal-tagal nga ‘yun at talagang ganado ‘yung Pangulo na magkuwento. I think about 80% ng discussion ay more on si Presidente po ang nagsasalita,” he said.

In the said meeting, Duterte also shared his experience being the president in the past years.

Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos will run for president in the coming elections together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
