What’s the story behind the surprise wedding of Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel?
Kapuso actor Zoren Legaspi revealed the reason behind his decision to hold a surprise wedding with his wife actress Carmina Villarroel.
Zoren and Carmina tied the knot in 2012. However, prior to this, they have been together for more than a decade already. The couple has already shared in past interviews that Carmina thought it was just a photoshoot but she was surprised when Zoren proposed.
The most surprising part was the wedding happened on the same day. In a recent vlog of the actress, she let her fans ask questions to Zoren. One of the topics they talked about was the surprise wedding that happened almost ten years ago.
Carmina Villarroel asked her husband what his favorite moment was during their wedding. “I guess, you walking sa aisle…” Zoren Legaspi shared. At this point, the actor emotionally recalled the factor that made him decide to marry his wife.
“Kasi ‘yung wedding na ‘yun ito ang ‘di ko pa nasasabi. Okay, alam naman nila na surprise kasi ‘yun and ang isang triggering point kasi no’n, kaya siya naging surprise at mabilisan, nagkasakit kasi si Daddy Regie (Carmina’s father), bibigyan ng hip replacement,” the actor shared.
Then, Zoren said that Carmina was absent during the time her family was discussing the operation that Daddy Regie had to go through. “Sabi ng doktor doon, ‘pag ginawa iyon (hip replacement), 50-50 si Daddy Regie,” the actor shared.
Because of that, he realized that he had to marry Carmina so that Daddy Regie would still witness that memorable moment in his daughter’s life. For Zoren Legaspi, that was an important thing to happen.
“Useless kasi wala na ang mama mo, tapos, naglalakad ka ‘dun, wala pa Daddy Regie mo. So for me, useless siya,” the husband of Carmina Villarroel said.
