Here are some of the major reasons why Yakult bottles were only available in small sizes, according to a social media influencer.
Yakult is considered as one of the most popular sweetened probiotic milk beverages in various regions all around the world including the Philippines. A lot of Filipino people especially young children love to drink the cultured milk due to its delicious taste.
This skimmed milk product contains bacteria strain Lactobacillus paracasei Shirota that can help improve our digestion and gives benefit to the body’s health. Yakult Honsha first sold the milk beverage, which has been developed in Tokyo, Japan.
A lot of people are still bothered why Yakult manufacturers were selling the drink in small bottles. The company even refused to produce larger bottles.
Recently, the internet influencer Rjaybuls has shared the reasons why Yakult is only available in small bottles. The post goes viral and elicits comments from the online community.
Rjaybuls created the video and discussed the topic in an entertaining yet informative method. He started the video by emphasizing his admiration to Japanese people for having Naruto and ninjas.
The influencer discussed why Yakult bottle’s is so small. He discovered that Japanese doctor Shirota discovered Yakult, a strain of good bacteria that is helpful to the digestive system.
The guy also cited the appeal of many people to produce larger Yakult bottles. However, the company refused to do so for two main reasons such as price and hygiene.
Rjaybuls explained that larger bottles means higher prices and the sales may drop. He also said that Yakult was not made as thirst quencher and it only comes in small bottle to avoid contamination.
Opening the bottle for a long period of time may affect the product’s quality because it welcomes airborne bacteria.
