Lani Misalucha, Husband Noli deal w/ Hearing Loss after Bacterial Infection
LANI MISALUCHA – The Asia’s Nightingale and her husband, Noli Misalucha, are currently seeking medical treatment for hearing loss.
One of the most popular names in the Philippine music industry is singer Lani Misalucha. She is tagged as the Asia’s Nightingale. She is married to Noli Misalucha and their marriage was blessed with two (2) children – Lian and Louven.
In 2020, it was no secret to the public that Lani and Noli had an unfortunate experience – they were both infected with bacterial meningitis. The singer and her husband were hospitalized for the treatment.
However, the bacterial meningitis has left a huge effect on the couple. Lani Misalucha and her husband Noli suffer from hearing loss due to the infection.
Based on a report on Philippine Star, Lani Misalucha and her husband have yet to regain their normal hearing and they are seeking medical help for hearing loss. Currently in Las Vegas for an upcoming concert, the Asia’s Nightingale said that she and her husband are seeing different doctors to check what they can suggest over their hearing loss.
According to Lani, they were told by the doctors that what happened to her and Noli is somehow a “very rare” case. They are seeing a neurologist, an EENT, and other doctors.
Based on the report, Lani Misalucha said that the bacteria that hit them is called “sequelae” which causes hearing loss and also affects vestibular disability. According to the singer, they were told by the doctors that the progress may be seen in three to six months however they still have inflammation in their brain.
“But the thing is, it’s already been over a year and we’re still like this. So, in other words, permanent na ito,” Lani said.
The couple continues to search for medical treatment regarding their hearing loss. According to the singer, they would be happy if they will be treated but they have accepted things if they would be otherwise. They are using hearing aids.
