It’s been seven years since Liezl, the wife of the actor passed away due to cancer.

But in an interview with Dr. Vicki Belo, he’s not yet ready to enter into a relationship.

Previously, Albert was rumored over a romantic relationship with actress Faith da Silva. The two worked together in the Kapuso series, Las Hermanas.

However, Albert is not yet ready to be in a relationship because according to him, “Liezl’s shoes is very hard to fill.”

Albert stressed that his late wife was the kindest and smartest person he has ever met.

The actor also shared in the same vlog the hardships he and his family went through when his wife was battling cancer.

Albert Martinez started in the show business as a film actor. His first teleserye was via 1980 series Anna Liza on GMA Network.

His most recent critically acclaimed role was in Magnífico.

He also starred in the teleserye Maria Flordeluna in 2007 portraying the role of Gen. Leo Alicante. He also worked on May Bukas Pa, in the role of the antagonist turned protagonist Mayor Enrique Rodrigo.

He played the role of Frank Crisanto on the teleserye Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, alongside Kris Aquino, Kim Chiu, Gina Pareño, Coco Martin, and Gerald Anderson.

He directed his film Rosario which was shown at the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Meanwhile, he is set to star as Dr. Richard Smith in the Philippine remake of Voltes V also known as Voltes V: Legacy.
