Ella Cruz was once a victim of bullying
ELLA CRUZ – The actress revealed that she was a victim of bullying when she was still in high school in her hometown in Bulacan.
Ella made the confession during the digital presscon of The Seniors on Monday night, February 21, 2022.
The Seniors is the latest series of Vivamax starring Julia Barretto, Awra Briguela, and newcomer Andrea Babierra.
Ella considers her high school years to be one of the most troubling parts of her life because of the bullying she experienced.
“To be honest, yung high school talaga ang pinakamagulo na parte ng buhay ko, isa sa mga magulong parte ng buhay, kasi dun ko na-experience na ma-bully ako” she said.
Aside from being bullied, there was one incident wherein she was slapped by her schoolmate despite not doing anything wrong.
When Ella entered her fourth year of high school, she moved to a school in Quezon City. There, she was treated well by her classmates.
Until now, Ella still has communication with her non-showbiz friends.
Because of her experience, Ella makes sure that she treats other people well as well as those who are younger than her.
In The Seniors, Julia, Awra, and Andrea treat her as a mother because of her care and love for them.
Gabriela Annjane Umali Cruz also known as Ella Cruz rose to fame with her title character in the 2012 fantasy drama Aryana.
It was in 2006 when she started her showbiz career after starring in the GMA-7 series, Majika. She also had several television projects on ABS-CBN and TV5.
