GirlTrends is a dance group introduced in 2016 via the noontime program, “It’s Showtime.”

The group was introduced as a counterpart of the Hashtags. It is an all-girl group made of young actresses.

All the members of the group are former Pinoy Big brother housemates.

Recently, Barbie, a former member of GirlTrends, and actor RK Bagatsing were introduced as the new set of judges for the segment, “Se*y Babe.”

When she was introduced, comedian Vice Ganda couldn’t help but ask if she was happy at the moment.

Barbie immediately replied with a “Yes.”

Vice shared that when Barbie was offered to be one of the judges of the It’s Showtime segment, the latter did not hesitate.

“Wala lang. Namo-move kasi ‘yung mga tapings. So, Showtime,” she explained.

Vice Ganda seconded her statement saying Barbie doesn’t like dull moments.

At one point, her fellow judge Ruffa Gutierrez revealed that Barbie was excited about her dance number.

Barbie immediately denied this and said that she was removed from GirlTrends because she could not dance well.

“Kaya nga po ako natanggal sa GirlTrends kasi hindi ako magaling sumayaw eh,” she said.

Vice Ganda responded: “Ay okay lang. Mag-isa ka na lang ngayon. Huwag kang mag-alala kung natanggal ka sa GirlTrends kasi hindi ka magaling sumayaw, sila din naman natanggal lahat. Charot. Love natin ang GirlTrends. Family natin ‘yan. Joke joke joke lang.”

She then revealed that she’s undergoing a workshop.

Barbie Imperial shared in an interview that the issue between members of GirlTrends, especially about “sisterly love” was not the reason why she left the girl group.
