Woman robbed in the middle of her live selling of plants
LIVE SELLING – A 46-year-old woman was robbed in the middle of selling plants in Caloocan City last Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Since the pandemic started, a lot of people lost their source of income.
In order to survive in the middle of the crisis, others ventured into online selling.
Live selling became a trend when the lockdown was lifted. Almost anything is being sold thru social media from clothes, plants, foods and to name a few.
Speaking of which, plant selling is one of the famous due to the emergence of plantitas and plantitos or people who love to collect any kind of plants.
Unfortunately, a live seller suffered a traumatic event in the middle of her live selling.
Bebiana, 46, was almost done with her live selling of plants when a man wearing a face mask and helmet with a gun approached her.
“Biglang may kumalabit sa akin, ayun na yung nangyari tinutukan niya ako ng baril and then hinampas tapos nabalya ako…Cellphone lang naman ang kinuha niya,” she said.
The suspect immediately fled on board his motorcycle, and Bebiana decided not to follow the assailant after she was threatened.
According to the Caloocan City Police, they are currently investigating the incident in order to identify the suspect in the said robbery.
The authorities are reminding the public to be vigilant while using a cellphone especially during a live selling in order to avoid such incidents.
Despite the trauma she suffered, Bebiana said that she will continue selling plants online since it’s a big help to her family amid the pandemic.
