Sharing photos on Instagram, Samantha described the end of 2021 as “very tough”, saying that the challenges that came with it greatly affected her confidence.

According to her, the end of last year was “admittedly a very tough time” for her as she had to accept how some things played out.

She also shared that her sister-in-law died due to cancer, the typhoon greatly affected their businesses, and everything “seemed like it was going south”.

Samantha added that she felt so lost and overwhelmed with her emotions and heartbreaks, adding that her confidence plummeted to the point where she doubted herself, her capabilities, and her future.

She also said that she’s able to move forward after learning to accept that “everything happens for a reason”, as well as through the support of her friends and family.

Samantha expressed her excitement to move into her own apartment as her way of celebrating her birthday.

Thank you to all of my friends, family, and supporters who helped me through this tough time,” Samantha said, wishing everyone “more blessings” this 2022.

Samantha celebrated her 26th birthday last January 13.

She represented the Philippines in the Miss Grand International pageant in Thailand last December 2021. Samantha failed to make it to the Top 20 despite being a fan favorite as well as her performance in the prelims.

Shortly after the pageant, Samantha said that she’s “heartbroken but grateful” after her Miss Grand International stint. She intended to continue her pageant journey despite her recent loss, as mentioned in one of her posts on social media.
