Rabiya Mateo: “Nagkakasakitan talaga, nagkakapasaan din.”
RABIYA MATEO – The beauty queen-turned-actress revealed that she sustained bruises and injuries while taping Agimat ng Agila: Season 2.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 stars in the weekly fantasy-action drama of GMA-7 alongside Senator Bong Revilla.
But according to the beauty queen, the training she had gone through was not easy in order for her to give justice to her role.
Rabiya plays the character of Interpol Agent Asha Raj.
In the online presscon of the series, the beauty queen recalled the adjustments she had to take as she enters showbiz as well as the preparations she had for her latest project.
Rabiya Mateo also admitted that there were times she and her colleagues sustain injuries while taping.
“Nagkakasakitan talaga, nagkakapasaan din. I guess it’s part of it. I have to be professional about it and magandang training ground siya,” she said.
She’s looking forward to more action series/scenes in the future.
Meanwhile, Senator Bong praised Rabiya for her performance as a newcomer.
Aside from Rabiya and Bong, the series also stars with Sanya Lopez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Benjie Paras, Gardo Verzosa, Betong Sumaya, Kim de Leon, Lia Salvador, Sandro Muhlach and Shermaine Santiago.
It is directed by Rico Gutierrez and will air starting January 29, 7:15 p.m. on GMA 7.
Rabiya Mateo rose to fame when she won as Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
However, during her stint at MU 2020, she failed to covet the title against Andrea Meza of Mexico.
