Rabiya Mateo Reacts To Lolo Narding Floro’s Case
RABIYA MATEO – Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo appealed to the public for help in locating Lolo Narding Floro, the 80-year-old man who was arrested and detained for allegedly stealing mangoes from his neighbor.
Lolo Narding Floro is currently making headlines after he was arrested and detained for allegedly stealing around 10 kilograms of mangoes in Asingan, Pangasinan. He has been in the custody of the Asingan PNP for days now.
According to Asingan PIO, the old man was arrested under a warrant of arrest issued by the 7th Municipal Circuit Trial Courts of Asinang-San Manuel on Dec. 20, 2021. The cops said Floro was arrested after a “manhunt operation” that was conducted on Jan. 13 in Brgy. Bantog.
Lolo Narding Floro said that he picked the fruits because as far as he knew, it was covered by the land he owned. “Pinapitas ko ’yung isang puno ng mangga wala pang sampung kilo, ang alam ko sakop namin. Noong binakuran nila, sinakop naman na nila pero tanim ko naman ’yun,” the PIO quoted Floro saying.
According to him, he was the one who plated the mango tree. He said he attempted to reach an agreement with his neighbor but they told him to pay P6K bail instead.
“Ang gusto ko sana (makipagkasundo), maliit lang naman kasi na bagay, noong ibibigay ko ‘yung bayad ayaw nilang tanggapin, ang sabi nila bayaran ko ng anim na libo,” he added.

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo was one of the celebrities who reacted to the incident. The case was reported by the Philippine Star via FB and it was later reposted by the Kapuso star.
The Ilongga beauty queen begged for help from the netizens so she could contact Lolo Narding Floro, as she is likely to extend some help.
“Can someone bridge me to Lolo? Finding ways to contact him,” Rabiya wrote.
