New mom in UK accidentally put her baby up for sale via Marketplace
FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE – A mother in Leeds, United Kingdom raised concern after she accidentally put her baby up for sale via the said platform.
Facebook is currently the leading social networking site on the planet.
It offers a lot of features and one of which is the Marketplace that allows users, 18 years old and up, to post pictures of items they wanted to sell. Users may also browse items offered by nearby sellers as well. The sellers set the price, but would-be buyers are open to counter with another offer.
Almost everything is being sold on FB Marketplace. However, there are limitations. Among the items that are now allowed are the following; alcohol, animals, illegal, prescription, or recreational drugs and to name a few.
Apparently, Lucy Battle, a mother in Leeds, United Kingdom, accidentally put her baby up for sale thru the said platform.
This raised concern from her friends and followers on Facebook. Her notification was even flooded with queries about her post.
Instead of posting a photo of a sofa, Battle placed her son for sale. “Need gone today,” she wrote as the caption on her post in Marketplace.
According to her, she did not intend to put the photo of her son.
“I just somehow managed to upload the wrong photo when I was choosing them from my camera roll and unfortunately it was of Oscar!” she said.
This incident reminds everyone to “Think Before You Click”.
