A bag that was designed by BTS V became the world’s fastest bag to be sold out.
KIM TAEHYUNG — A bag that was designed by BTS member V recently made history as it became the world’s fastest item to be sold out.
South Korean pop supergroup BTS has demonstrated on numerous occasions that its influence went beyond music and performances.
The group has built a reputation for selling out products they endorsed (and even products they didn’t endorse but were caught using) over the years.
For instance, when Hyundai introduced BTS as its global brand ambassador, the demand for its flagship SUV increased more than doubled — and that’s only in South Korea.
Thus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that when BTS members RM, Suga, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, and V released a collection of merchandise they designed themselves, the stocks were wiped out within minutes.

BTS vocalist V (born Kim Taehyung) self-designed a Boston bag, made of vegan saffiano, that featured warm tones of green, brown, and gray — his favorite colors.
Also, he added a pop of color in order to contrast the muted palette by accenting the piece with a twilly scarf showcasing vibrant earth tones.
The World Music Awards announced that the stocks had all been checked out (both in the US shop and Global shop) in less than 30 seconds after V dropped the self-designed Boston bag on Weverse Shop — the fastest run for any bag to date.

The pre-ordered piece was originally retailed at USD 168 in the US shop and USD 153.28 on the Global counterpart, but online retailers have started taking bids starting at USD 225 and going as high as USD 13,000 because of the insatiable demand from BTS fans.
Apart from the bag, three inimitable and eclectic brooch sets, which highlighted V’s artistic stylings and ethos, quickly followed suit and were out of stock within a minute.
Also, other items designed by BTS members earned similar reception and success.
The pillows and pajamas of Jin, as well as the wind chime and joggers of RM, the first two collections HYBE released, had likewise been eagerly bought by BTS fans as stocks across the globe were exhausted within five minutes.
Following Taehyung, BTS member Suga also launched a simple but slick note set, which included a vegan saffiano cover, and a guitar pick necklace that showed off the logo of BTS and ARMY (BTS fandom name). Both product sets were quickly sold out within a minute.
Meanwhile, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook were set to release their merchandise in the coming weeks.
