SUNSHINE CRUZ — The actress recently revealed the reason why she decided to cut her hair short.
The actress has revealed that she cut her hair short for her role in the highly-anticipated drama.
Last Friday, Sunshine said during the series’ press conference that she’d always been a fan of the “Mano Po” film franchise and also felt that it’s an honor for her to be part of its transition to the small screen.
“It is a dream come true for me,” Sunshine said in Filipino. “I could’ve bounced and tumbled in excitement when I was offered the role so when they asked me to cut my hair, when I started acting I always had long hair, but I said, ‘sure!’”

The actress made headlines last month after showing off her new short bob complete with full-on bangs. Sunshine didn’t mention if she did it for a role at that time, but she revealed in another social media post that she’s set to be at lock-in taping.
“Great things never came from comfort zones. Sometimes, change is good,” Sunshine said at that time.
The actress will play an empowered woman who becomes Barbie Forteza’s character’s mentor in the upcoming drama, which was set to premiere next month.
GMA News Online reported that “Mano Po Legacy: Family Fortune” was a story about a powerful family behind a successful company. The said film also featured Maricel Laxa, Boots Anson Roa, Rob Gomez, and David Licauco.
