Regine Velasquez Appeals to Public for Son’s Privacy
REGINE VELASQUEZ – The Philippines’ Asia’s Songbird expressed her dismay on some people using the name of her son in social media accounts.
Among the famous personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry who are in the field for decades now are celebrity couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez. A big part of their lives is not a secret to the public.
It was in 2010 when Regine and Ogie officially tied the knot. The actor-singer has two (2) daughters, Sarah and Leila, from his previous marriage with Michelle van Eimeren. Their marriage lasted from 1995 to 2007.
Two years after they officially tied the knot, Regine gave birth to her first child with Ogie. They named their baby boy “Nathaniel James”.
The son of Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez is popularly known by his nickname, Nate. It is no secret to the public that he is fondly called by the actress-singer “booboobear”.
However, some people are seemingly using the name of the son of the celebrity couple and it does not sit well with the actress-singer. She appealed for privacy for her son who is now a 10-year-old boy.
On Instagram, Regine Velasquez posted a screenshot of a TikTok account showing the account named using her son’s name. It also mentioned her endearment to him.
The actress-singer revealed that she reported the account and she will keep on doing so. She stressed that she and her husband are already giving their son his privacy so they even hardly post photos with him.
On Twitter, Regine explained that she does not want her son to experience the same thing she experienced when she was not able to use her own name for the longest time because it has already been used by others.
