Senatorial aspirant Leila de Lima hoping to shoot her political ad despite being inside the prison
LEILA DE LIMA – The senatorial aspirant is hoping to shoot her political ad for the 2022 elections despite being imprisoned.
The senator is seeking reelection in the coming polls, despite the fact she’s behind the bars.
According to De Lima’s camp, they need three days to be able to take photos and videos of the senator which will be used for her campaign.
However, the Department of Justice (DOJ) blocked their proposal saying De Lim should not be given special treatment.
The DOJ also said that the Supreme Court itself said that what De Lima’s camp wanted was not possible.
De Lima’s camp has yet to respond to the DOJ’s blockade of their request.
It can be recalled that she has been inside the PNP Custodial Center for four years due to multiple accusations against him.
Meanwhile, Leila Norma Eulalia Josefa Magistrado de Lima, a politician, lawyer, human rights activist, and law professor is currently serving as senator of the Philippines since 2016.

In 2017, she was arrested for her alleged link on the drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison during her term as the Justice secretary. Later that year, she was awarded the Prize for Freedom.
