Vilma Santos gave advice to artists who will run in the 2022 elections.
VILMA SANTOS — The veteran actress and politician recently gave advice to artists who will run for any government position in the 2022 elections.
Vilma reminded in an interview with Cinema News that her showbiz colleagues must be ready to serve the public in case they won in the 2022 elections.
“It’s not going to be easy. It’s really a sacrifice if you really want to serve. Sa lahat po ng colleagues ko na nag-file ngayon and interested na pumasok sa politics, good luck to you,” Vilma said. “Sabi ko nga, kung kayo ay mananalo i-prepare n’yo po ‘yung sarili n’yo to serve and to learn from the heart. ‘Pag nangyari ‘yun, fulfilled na kayo.”
The actress also became emotional when they discussed her decision not to run for any government position in the 2022 elections.

Vilma said that one of the things she considered in her decision was the new campaign rules amidst the pandemic.
She also said that she will need an “on-ground consultation” if she wanted to be an effective leader, which can’t be done lightly considering that there’s a health crisis.
Another thing Vilma was thinking about was the possible transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“Mahirap ito for me. Plus the COVID. You’ll be nervous. Tutusukin lagi ilong mo… baka ako ang makapagbigay ng sakit sa kanila o sila ang makapagbigay sak ‘in. Huwag na muna. I don’t think this is the right time,” Vilma said.
Vilma was currently busy vlogging with Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola.
